If You Were Spanked As A Child, There Is A Strong Chance You Developed This Disorder

It was very usual to get a spanking for rowdy behavior back in the day. If you are in your 60s or more than that, is very likely you got smacked or belt whipped.

But over the years, things have changed and physical abuse of kids has become less applicable. There are still parents who do it, but the latest research shows that this can induct the child to use physical abuse later in life.

The study showed that youngsters who were spanked were also more likely to be abusive to others when they mature.

Dr. Denise Cummins in Psychology Today, says that parents should find other ways to discipline. We see that bigger kids try to bully or hit smaller kids and this is mostly taken from the parent’s abusive actions.

When a parent hits his child to behave better or do something, somehow is telling them that is acceptable to hit someone weaker and smaller than you to get what you want.

This gives mental and emotional problems in children. The poorer someone’s relationship with his parents is, the more likely he is reported to hit a partner or spouse.

It is more likely also to suffer mental health problems like depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and more.
